One more.......til next time!

We got to meet Clinton Anderson and have our pics taken with him......he signed Sutherlyn's shirt sleeve too! She won't let me wash the shirt. Also, he has a meet and greet on Sunday mornings of his tour stops with his "No Worries Club" members an hour before anyone else can come in, we are members so we arrived early for a chance to ask him questions and Sutherlyn was called upon by him to ask her question of him....I have pics of that too, I'll post it later. Come back and check on us to see. Til next time.........

A Tennessee Thanksgiving........

Here are just a few of the pics from our Thanksgiving adventure in Tennessee this year......Hope you enjoy them.
I have ton more....I'll share some of them with you later. We visited the town called Wartrace, the home of the Tennessee Walking Horse breed...we stayed in a world-famous hotel - The Walking Horse Hotel, we met the owner and he was wonderful! The hotel was cool too, just up my alley, it was built in 1917! We attended tour stop for world-famous horse trainer, Clinton Anderson and his Wahl Walkabout Tour, Downunder Horsemanship and we spent Thanksgiving day at the Apple Barn Restaurant in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.....we had a great adventure and were reminded each day of all that we have to be Thankful for! Till next time and more pics to share, take care and God bless!

One more quote to share in honor of Veterans and our Savior.....

Thanks to my friend Jill for this.......

"Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American GI. One died for your soul and the other for your freedom".

Thankful beyonds words for each!

YOU MAY HAVE TO PAUSE THE MUSIC AT THE RIGHT TO HEAR THESE VIDEOS.....

This is why we fight, this is why we continue on even when the task seems monumental... For all of those who serve, past and present, THANK YOU......you are the reason we are free.

On this Veteran's Day, let us never forget FREEDOM IS NOT FREE! Terriorism is real and there are men and women fighting everyday as we enjoy the freedoms that their sacrifices provide. For every solider who has fought, for every one who paid the ultimate price, and for those who continue to fight today, there is a family who is missing their son, husband, father, daughter, mother, sister, brother.......THAT IS RIGHT MY FELLOW AMERICANS, FREEDOM HAS NEVER BEEN FREE, IT IS PAID FOR BY MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE WILLING TO PUT THEMSELVES IN HARMS WAY TO PROTECT THIS COUNTRY. SOME OF THEM MAKE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE.
Please take the time today to thank a veteran....For they are the reason that we are FREE!

For this is the truth of the matter......

"It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, And whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protestor to burn the flag. - Father Dennis Edward O'Brian, USMC

Today, and everyday, thank a VET, they deserve it!

Here is another example of Sutherlyn's fine dancing skills......

This one is funny too......

I found this.....

As is searched for a card to put into the camera as I rushed out the door for Halloween, I grabbed one that turned out to contain some old stuff on it. I found this as I downloaded the Halloween pics. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Pause the music at the right to hear the video........

The picture quality is poor but this is still cute!

For Stephanie.....

My little Punky Pirate! And the "eyeballs" we made for her to take to her class party!

Isn't she scary?! and then, look, not so scary....

My little princess at the Tea Room.....

Sutherlyn and me at the Strawberry Tea Room! We had a fun lunch date......

At the beginning of June, Lexi competed in her 1st Horse Show...she did so well that our trainer, Robin, asked if Sutherlyn wanted to show her that day too, so she did. They won 1st place (they were the only ones in the class) but hey, a blue ribbon is a blue ribbon right?! Don't tell Sutherlyn she was the only one. She and Lexi were very proud of their ribbon! Usually when that is the case (only one person in a class, etc, then the rider/trainer, whomever, does not take the ribbon). However, Lexi had shown in a few classes and was ridden by Sara, Robin's daughter. She placed with other ribbons in the other classes and we did not take the ribbon. However, on this one in particular and one other, Sara felt that Lexi did so well, she deserved the ribbon and so did Sutherlyn, so we kept those! It was low key, not a high stress/highly competitive place to show, but we had fun....It was a learning experience for all of us.

In June, Sutherlyn spent a week at Soccer camp with the British! This is her and her coach, Murray. She had a great time!

Some more stuff

Graduation! Well I am late on this (as usual) but these are the pictures of my cousin's UF graduation in May. I am very proud of him....I remember when he was little and my Grandma would sing to us and we would laugh at all of the cute things he did as a baby....he was a cute baby and he has turned into a handsome man! Blake, Grandma would be proud of you. We are all proud of you.

That is my Uncle Alan with them (his two boys). My Aunt Jeanine could not be there - she missed the day because earlier that week she had a heart attack! Yes, I said heart attack....she is much better now but is taking it easy for a while. Please keep this family in your prayers...Blake returned home from college and Brent is leaving in July for Alabama to begin college. They have had a lot going on lately......I wish we lived closer to them so we could see them more often. Sutherlyn is looking forward to spending some this summer with Aunt Neenie.

More later.....til next time.

Here are some of my favorites...round II

I have been terrible at bloging...life gets in the way you know. Anyway, here are a few of my favorites pics from "our life in pictures" over the last few months.....Hope you enjoy them.

It was very cold here, -7 in December when we went to the mountains....

These are Easter pics at our house, the eggs and the dress of course!

This is Clinton Anderson (he is an Aussie cutie!) anyway, he is a world-famous horse trainer and I got to go see him in February...this is him and one of his horses, Mindy, he has had her since she was a fillie....he had her shipped over here a few years after he moved here from Australia! It was really amazing to watch them....you can't really tell from this picture but she is absolutely beautiful and so is he!

Enjoy, til next time.....

This one is one of our dogs, Aspen, he was sleeping. It is so funny, he looks dead!
Mal says I should attach a stick handle to him and mop the floor with him! He does kind of look like a mop, doesn't he?

had to share this one too....I love it of my "little" girl

I AM BACK!!! (for those of you who care!)

One of the many, many deer we saw on our trip to Cade's Cove, Tennessee......we went during Christmas

CHRISTMAS AT BASS PRO SHOP - TENNESSEE

Here a just a few of the pics taken over the last few months that I have been in my proverbial "black hole". I know, I said I didn't fall into one, but I think actually I did!
(This is a barn in Tennessee that I actually visited, I took this picture! I just love it!)

I haven't really felt much like blogging, I have had a lot to think about....a lot going on (as all of us do) and have not taken the time to put my thoughts into words.......so for those of you who do care, here they are, some pics from "our life in pictures" here on our little oak farm....hope you enjoy them.

God bless, take care and may we all remember, each and every day what this past weekend stands for! And No, it is NOT the Bunny!
Praise the Lord....I am sure glad I didn't have to rely on the bunny to save me! Jesus took care of that and I am eternally greatful......til next time.
